Semarang | Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS), through the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Education and Humanities (FIPH), and Postgraduate Program, has established an academic partnership with Universiti Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM). This collaboration was formalized through the signing of an Implementation of Agreement (IA) as a concrete step toward developing an Offshore PhD program.

This agreement represents a strategic initiative by both institutions to expand their international networks, particularly in advancing doctoral-level education through global collaboration. The proposed Offshore PhD program is expected to provide broader access to internationally recognized education while strengthening the academic capacity of lecturers and researchers from both universities.

During the event, both parties expressed their commitment to maximizing synergy in implementing the program, including curriculum development, joint research initiatives, and enhancing the quality of postgraduate education. The collaboration also opens opportunities for academic exchange involving both students and faculty members.

Through the signing of this IA, UNIMUS and UMAM reaffirm their dedication to building a sustainable partnership that goes beyond formal agreements and focuses on tangible outcomes in education and research.
