Semarang | The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (FEB UNIMUS) continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of lecturers’ scientific publications by organizing a mentorship program for scientific article writing. The activity was held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Room 626, GKB 3 Building, UNIMUS, and was attended by lecturers within the faculty.

This program aims to strengthen lecturers’ competencies in producing high-quality scientific articles, increase publication output in reputable journals, and support the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in research and scientific publication. Through this mentorship, participants are expected to gain a better understanding of systematic writing techniques aligned with academic standards, thereby increasing their chances of publication in national and international journals.
The event began with an opening speech by the Dean of FEB UNIMUS, Dr. Andwiani Sinarasri, S.E., M.Si., who emphasized that scientific publication is a key performance indicator for lecturers and a tangible contribution of universities to the advancement of knowledge. She also expressed hope that this program would serve as a platform for sharing experiences and strengthening academic collaboration among lecturers.

The session was moderated by Dr. Nur Muttaqien Zuhri, S.Pi., M.Si., who facilitated interactive discussions between the speaker and participants. The atmosphere was highly engaging, with active participation and discussions reflecting the lecturers’ enthusiasm to improve the quality of their academic writing.
The resource person, Dr. Zaky Machmuddah, S.E., M.Si., Akt., CA., CSRS., CSRA., delivered comprehensive material on strategies for writing scientific articles, selecting appropriate journals, and tips for successfully passing the peer-review process. He also shared best practices in developing well-structured, engaging, and ethically sound academic manuscripts.

Through this mentorship session, participants not only received theoretical insights but also had the opportunity to discuss challenges they face in the writing process. This made the program highly practical and directly applicable to their academic work.
This initiative represents one of FEB UNIMUS’ strategic efforts to enhance the quality of research and scientific publications among its lecturers. Moving forward, the faculty remains committed to organizing academic capacity-building programs to improve the quality of higher education and strengthen institutional reputation at both national and international levels.
