Semarang — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) organized an Expo and Alumni Teaching program on Friday, December 19, 2025, held on campus. This initiative served as a practical learning platform for students to enhance their confidence, creativity, and readiness to face the professional and business world.
The program was designed as an implementation of practice-based entrepreneurship learning, providing students with opportunities to showcase products, projects, and business ideas they have developed במהלך their studies. Through this activity, students were not only expected to understand entrepreneurial theories but also to develop the courage to present, communicate, and market their products directly to the public.

The event began with an opening ceremony reflecting religious and national values, including the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, the Muhammadiyah anthem, Qur’an recitation, and a joint prayer. In her remarks, the Dean of FEB UNIMUS emphasized that this program serves as a real learning space for students to explore and develop their potential beyond the classroom.

She highlighted the importance of confidence and courage as key competencies in facing an increasingly competitive professional environment. Therefore, FEB UNIMUS consistently encourages students to be active, creative, and innovative through various developmental programs.
The Rector of UNIMUS also expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that the Expo and Alumni Teaching program plays an important role in building an entrepreneurial learning ecosystem involving both students and alumni. He stressed that education should not only focus on academic achievement but also on character building, including discipline, responsibility, risk-taking, and perseverance.

Furthermore, he emphasized that entrepreneurship education must involve real practice, enabling students to gain hands-on experience in managing business opportunities. In this way, graduates are expected not only to become job seekers but also job creators.
The participation of successful alumni added significant value to the event. Through the “Alumni Teaching” session, alumni shared their experiences, challenges, and strategies in building and sustaining businesses. This interactive session provided inspiration for students to begin their entrepreneurial journeys early.

In addition to the talk show sessions, the Expo also featured a wide range of student products, including those from culinary, services, creative industries, and innovation-based startups. This demonstrated FEB UNIMUS’s commitment to producing graduates who are adaptive, creative, and competitive in today’s dynamic industrial landscape.
The event concluded with the announcement and awarding of the best participants, highlighting the importance of collaboration between faculty, students, and alumni in shaping a generation of independent, competitive, and future-ready young entrepreneurs.
