Go Green: Restoring Mangroves as a Natural Shield Against Climate Change

The description of the Go Green activity with the theme “Small Steps, Big Impact” namely the activity of replanting mangrove forests plays a central role in maintaining ecological balance and environmental sustainability. Planting restoring mangrove forests involves our concern as students for environment and the negative impacts of climate change.

This mangrove replanting initiative serves as a tangible response to the escalating threats of coastal erosion and rising sea levels. By restoring these vital ecosystems, students are not only sequestering carbon but also creating a sustainable habitat that protects local biodiversity and coastal communities. This movement emphasizes that environmental stewardship is a collective responsibility, where every sapling planted acts as a long-term investment in a cooler, more resilient planet for future generations.
